What services do you offer?

Individual and Couples Therapy

Most people we work with have a series of sessions as an individual or a couple.

Therapy can address underlying mental health challenges, depression, anxiety, processing traumatic events, managing painful emotions and nurturing better relationships with yourself and others.

This can range from relatively short term therapy lasting 6-12 sessions to working together over several years and everything in between.

We can discuss with you what would be most suitable for your needs.

Relationship Coaching

Relationship coaching focuses on enhancing interpersonal skills without addressing mental health diagnoses or treatments. This service is suitable for those looking to:

  • Improve Communication: Enhancing skills for clearer and more effective communication.
  • Resolve Conflicts: Learning methods to manage disputes constructively.
  • Build Trust: Developing trust in various types of relationships.
  • Set Goals: Establishing and achieving personal and relational goals.

Note: Relationship coaching is not intended to replace mental health care or therapy and does not involve diagnosing psychological conditions or treating traumatic experiences.

International Availability: Relationship coaching can be offered internationally and is conducted remotely via secure platforms.  Please note, relationship coaching is not a substitute for psychological therapy and does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions.

Online Groups and Courses

These can be used alongside therapy with us or other providers or for self help and personal development.

Please note these groups are not a clinical service, do not constitute mental health care and are not a substitute for psychological therapy.

Consultation for Colleagues

Dr Ruth Ann is happy to see colleagues for ongoing supervision or consultation regarding clinical work. This might be regarding seeing someone who is dealing with issues of narcissism and wanting support for how best to manage the therapeutic relationship or consultation regarding how best to support someone who is in or has left an abusive relationship.

What are your fees?

Our fees vary depending on the nature and complexity of the work and which therapist you are seeing. They range from £150 - £250 for a one hour session with higher fees being charged if the work involves a lot of ongoing liaison with other professionals.

Where are you based?

We are based in the UK and work remotely via video link.

We usually only provide psychological therapies and mental health care to people based in the UK.

We can offer coaching services to people anywhere in the world.

We can see people in other countries for coaching if you agree that the work will be carried out under UK jurisdiction.

Do you accept insurance?

We can accept some UK based insurance policies including BUPA Global, WPA and AVIVA. We do not currently accept AXA or BUPA.

However, please be aware that not all our therapists accept all insurers. Please let us know when enquiring if you wish to use insurance to cover the cost of therapy with us and we will do our best to match you with a therapist who is a good fit to support you and accepts your insurance.

Insurers from other countries are unlikely to fund assessment or therapy with us but occasional exceptions have been made for highly specialised assessment and treatment for people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder who have not been able to find suitable help locally. We can provide an outline and predicted costs for your insurer but cannot support you with your claim.
