I'm an experienced clinical psychologist and have worked with survivors of complex trauma and people with personality disorder diagnoses since 2009.

I work with individuals, couples, and families, helping them to navigate challenging interpersonal dynamics and change lifelong patterns in their relationships. 

Many of the people I work with have experienced abuse by a person who has pathological narcissism. I am familiar with working with the emotional and psychological abuse in relationships. Unlike many people who work in this field, I do not demonise people with narcissistic personality disorder or who have strong narcissistic tendencies but I do recognise the very real harm that narcissistically driven abusive behaviours have on the people around them. 

I work with people who have narcissistic personality disorders and want to change. However, I caution you that that staying in an abusive relationship or tolerating abuse in the hope that the person hurting you will change or that you can help them change is a path to heartbreak, pain and more abuse.  

However, working with people who struggle with issues of pathological narcissism, means I have insight and skills into how to communicate as constructively as possible with someone who may be highly provocative. I know how to build myself up, to remain calm and sturdy in the face of difficult behaviours and I can help you are navigating an ongoing difficult relationship. 

This course will not seek to stoke the flames of your (perfectly justified) anger and resentment. My focus is on you, on helping you connect with yourself, take care of yourself, and nurture yourself to know who you are and be able to calmly and firmly take the steering wheel of your life and drive in the direction of your values.
